Government Quiz Tomorrow
Posted onThe students will need to know the 3 Branches of Government for the quiz tomorrow. A review sheet is coming home today.
- Legislative Branch: Make laws, Legislature (Senate & House of Representatives)
- Executive Branch: Enforce laws, Governor
- Judicial Branch: Interpret Laws, Supreme Court and other courts
Fantastic Field Trip

Field Trip
Posted onOur field trip to Pigeon Creek Park and Tunnel Park is tomorrow. If you plan on bringing younger children we would like you to meet us for lunch at Tunnel Park at noon.
Things to remember:
- Sack lunch with name on it
- Wear socks and tennis shoes
- Disposable water bottle with name on it
- Wear sunscreen
We will be gone from 9:00 until 2:00. All parents that plan to chaperone will need to drive separately. I will have directions to Pigeon Creek in my classroom tomorrow. I am very excited about the weather!
Pizza Party
Posted onOur class won the pizza party for having the greatest percentage of students meet their typing goal. Please keep them typing over the summer because this will truly benefit them as they progress through school. We would like to thank they technology department for the DJ’s Pizza and juice boxes.
Just Write Celebration
Posted onThank you for joining us in the celebration of authors in the building. The children work so hard all year on their pieces and love the opportunity to look at the displays. Hopefully, your child was able to give you some suggestions to improve your writing during our quick write time.
Upcoming Dates
Posted onWe were the winners of the typing pizza party. Thanks to the technology department we will have a pizza lunch with a juice box on Tuesday, May 15th.
Our Just Write Celebrations begin next week. We will be touring the building to look at various writing pieces on Tuesday, May 15th from 2:45-3:30.
We will going to a play at the high school put on by the drama students on Thursday, May 17th. Please try to be on time for school that day because we leave at 9:30.
We will be having a field trip to Pigeon Creek and Tunnel Park on Wednesday, May 23rd for most of the day. Parents may meet us at the park. There will not be any room on the buses so if you are interested in chaperoning you will need to carpool.
