We are having a wonderful time in 3rd grade. In math, we have learned our 2s, 3s, 5s, 9s, and 10s multiplication facts. We are quickly learning how to write and solve related division problems. We have finished our first science unit that focused on light. In writing we have written a rough draft of a personal narrative and are learning how to revise by changing our leads and endings. Verbs and adjectives have also been reviewed to assist the reader with visualizing. In reading, we are building our Workshop and have already supported our thinking by referring back to the text. We’ve completed two spelling units that focused on the long (vowel consonant /e/) and short vowels sounds for /i/ and /a/. Our vocabulary words were: describe & identify. Your children are AMAZING!
