Science Update

In science we are discussing the motion (movement from one place to another or physical movement like twirling, waving, etc.). We’ve looked at the path and direction of various objects. In addition, the children had the opportunity to complete time travels of previous measured distances focusing on the speed (distance an object travels in a certain amount of time using words faster and slower).

Reading for Gold update

Reading at home also counts for a flag.  When your child reads for 30 minutes, log on to READING LOG and record your information.  Find your name under the third grade title, click on it and fill in the information.  Each teacher will receive the notification and reward the children with a flag.   If you would prefer to send a note to school, that is fine as well.

We are looking forward to celebrating the Olympics!        flags
